Omega-3 DHA Super-food
A natural nutritious super-food rich in bioactive omega-3 DHA and other essential nutrients for brain development and cognitive function
Omega-3 DHA is an innovatively developed natural nutritious food from local ingredients in Tanzania and other essential nutrients to help promote brain health and cognitive function of mothers and children. Omega-3 DHA is crucial at all stages of life but particularly in pre-conception, pregnancy and childhood years.
Omega-3 DHA is also rich in other essential nutrients such as iron, zinc, and vitamin A, which are usually inadequate in most typical African diets. Additionally, the product is rich in high-quality protein- its 90g can meet 100% of protein needed daily for a growing child. Omega-3 DHA is also very rich in precursors (such as B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, magnesium, zinc, and amino acids) to neurotransmitters.
Majority of omega-3 products that are found in the Eastern African market are ALA, whose conversion in the body may not achieve the recommended daily intake of DHA. As only a few consumers understand the difference between ALA and DHA omega-3, they often buy ALA products. We believe that a properly manufactured product would be taken up by the market provided that consumers are convinced of its safety and health benefits.
Omega-3 DHA is designed to prevent mental health retardation associated with undernutrition by encouraging consumption of our product, which is rich in active omega-3 DHA and EPA.
